Witty Wicklow Writers Workshop is a community-driven creative initiative based in County Wicklow, bringing writers, readers, and storytellers together in a space that blends craft, curiosity, and conversation. Originally launched online, the workshop quickly evolved into a hybrid series, expanding into live venues in Greystones, Dublin, and beyond — with new locations continuing to emerge across the island.
The workshop combines elements of traditional writing circles with live discussion, performance, and reflection. Founded by Vitor Vicente (Portuguese based in Bray), Maria Stavropoulou (Greek based in Newtownmountkennedy) and Jeroen Vandommele (Flemish based in Greystones), reflecting a distinctly international perspective rooted in Ireland’s vibrant literary landscape.
Together, Witty Wicklow Writers Workshop fosters creativity without intimidation, craft without rigidity, and literary dialogue without pretension.
The collective is currently preparing the inaugural edition of the Witty Wicklow Writers Magazine, extending its mission from live events into print and platform-building for emerging and established voices
