Oona Frawley was born in New York to Irish actor parents and spent part of each year in Ireland as a child. She has lectured in literature and creative writing at Maynooth University since 2008, and has published twelve books, including her first novel, Flight (Tramp Press, 2014), which was nominated for an Irish Book Award. Her most recent book is a memoir, This Interim Time (The Lilliput Press, 2025), which was named a Sunday Times Irish Book of the Year. Oona lives in Wicklow with her family.
