Mike Ryan is a multidisciplinary artist and writer based in Cork City. He is a former artistic director of Briery Gap Cultural Centre, Macroom, where he oversaw the strategic launch and programming of the brand new state-of-the-art venue. He has also served as artist liaison for Cork Midsummer Festival for the past 8 years.

Ryan is a regular interviewer and moderator for West Cork Literary Festival, and and has contributed extensively as a music journalist for The Thin Air magazine. He is currently lecturing in theatre, performance, and cultural policy at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.
