Helena Buffery is the Head of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at University College Cork. She specialises in contemporary Iberian cultural studies, with particular expertise in contemporary Catalan Studies, Iberian and Latin American Theatre and Performance Studies, and Translation History. She is a practising translator, with her most recent work including the translation into English of contemporary plays by Helena Tornero, Victoria Szpunberg and Sergio Blanco.
