Evelyn Conlon is a short story writer, novelist and anthologist. Described as one of Ireland’s truly original voices, she has written about capital punishment, famine, secret lives, the double standard, borders, sex and lies. Her work is widely anthologized and translated, most recently into Mandarin,Tamil and Greek.
Her last collection, Moving About the Place, includes Two Gallants Getting Caught, a riff on Joyce’s Two Gallants. Her last novel, Not the Same Sky, immerses itself in the issue of memory and forgetting. Her most recent book, is called Reading Rites, about Reading, Writing and other things that matter. She has published 4 collections of Short Stories, 4 novels, a collection of essays, and co/edited 4 Anthologies.
