Helena Buffery is the Senior lecturer in Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies at UCC with extensive knowledge of Catalan history and culture. She has published widely on different aspects of modern and contemporary Catalan literature, theatre, art and society and has translated works by Maria-Mercè Marçal, Helena Tornero, Victoria Szpungerg and Francesc Serés, among other.
