Tania Ganitsky was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She holds a PhD in Philosophy and Literature, currently gives poetry workshops and teaches courses on Emily Dickinson, Spanish and Latin American poetry in different universities in Bogotá. She is the author of various poetry collections: Dos Cuerpos Menos (2015), Cráter (2017), Desastre Lento (2018, 2019) and La Suspensión de los Objetos Flotantes (2020). She has won two national awards for her work. She cofounded and coedits La Trenza, a feminist fanzine that promotes a reflective approach to contemporary poetry written by women-identifying Colombian poets.
