Ian Drury has been a literary agent at Sheil Land Associates since 2007. Before that he worked in the magazine business for ten years before joining Collins in 1994. He moved to Cassell in 2000 and soon became publishing director at Weidenfeld & Nicholson. He is also the author of several history books, so has seen this business from all sides. Clients include bestselling fantasy writers Mark Lawrence and Josiah Bancroft; historical novelists Angus Donald and Robert Fabbri; musical historian Andrew Gant; Michael Tippett’s biographer Oliver Soden and military historian Peter Hart.
