Launches, workshops, demos, film screenings, open mic and more, organised by Cork City Library’s Teen Committee.



Join us for our annual Teen Day with a welcome from the City Librarian at 10:30 am.

The shortlist and winner of our Teen Short Story Competition will be announced by judge and award-winning short story writer Kevin Doyle.

Fiona Boniwell will launch this year’s Teen Graphic Novel and will facilitate an open Teen Graphic Novel Workshop.

The Library Teen Committee then invite teenagers to a range of events throughout the day, including:

3-D Print Demo: see the library’s 3-D printer in action and find out how you can access this resource all year round.

John Boyne will read from and discuss his new book My Brother’s Name is Jessica.

Teen Movie Screening and chill session:  Take time out to enjoy our Teen Committee’s selection of short films in a    relaxed setting.

Cethan Leahy, local YA author and filmmaker, will facilitate a filmmaking workshop on the use of Three-point Lighting.

Fashion Recycled: a showcase of entries from this year’s Bank of Ireland Junk Kouture competition.

Open Mic: bring your talent and help us close out Teen Day!
