Community Poetry Anthology edited by Jenny Mitchell

This Community Poetry Anthology is a collection resulting from Cork City Libraries inaugural Poet-in-the-Community residency with Jenny Mitchell funded by Creative Ireland. In 2025, Jenny hosted workshops with the Sexual Violence Centre and also with the Migrant Centre in collaboration with Cork City Council’s Integration Team. She hosted workshops with young people in the Fighting Words Write Club, one-to-one mentoring sessions with local poets and online sessions attracting participants from as far away as Seattle and Zimbabwe. This anthology showcases the work of many of these groups and individuals, as well as work by award-winning established poets who supported the residency and accepted Jenny’s invitation to contribute.
