Flavia Company was born in Buenos Aires but moved to Barcelona, while still a child. A novelist and teacher, she is a prolific writer in Spanish and Catalan and translator of many genres, a contributor to print media, and has directed and presented TVprogrammes. The author of more than ten novels, her The Island of Last Truth has been translated into English.
